JUNE PERFORMANCE / AUGUST PERFORMANCE
The performances deal with a double standard that US apply to the war on terror and the Muslim world. The video projections of violent scenes from Arab countries, selected American newscasts and flipping pages of Koran are shown on monitors.
The artist gradually smashes lit light bulbs laying on the floor and crumples and throws pages torn out of Koran or a newspaper following sound signals. The performances conclude with burning a piece of paper placed on a monitor and monitors being smashed with a golf club.
